Was emergency personell on scene?
Any Gate City people know what happened at the red light on the 4-lane this evening? I just passed by there while a go and saw a dead horse in the middle of the highway near the ABC store.

When we came through there earlier we saw the horse and the car that hit it. The car looked like it had rolled off a cliff, I pray there wasn't anyone in the passanger seat.
Nobody hurt except the horse. He was taken off by VDOT. I work 911 the call cme in that the horse was running by Long Johns towards Pizza Hut. About 1 1/2 minutes later got a call it had been hit.
